The Snake River is one of the prettiest rivers in the world in our opinion and our guests say the same thing after we take them fishing on it.  With plenty of water to get out of the drift boat and wade around for native cutthroats, rainbows and browns, The Snake River Trip offers one of the most scenic landscapes in America and the perfect place to spend the day. With numerous boat launches throughout the stretch, Eyes on the Fly can make your day as long or as short as you would like.

Fishing on the Snake River is very similar to Yellowstone Park with hatches and run off water levels dictating much of our approach. During run off the Snake is obviously more challenging to fish.  It can be done, but this river is much more enjoyable in mid to late summer when the water flow is calm and clear.  As for the fishing report... big attraction patterns with a dropper flies like bead heads work well on the Snake as does nymphing rigs. The same patterns used in the park will more than often produce the same great results on the Snake. Let Eyes on the Fly know if you want to incorporate the Snake River in your Yellowstone trip and we can help set up your parties lodging either in Yellowstone, Grand Teton or Jackson Hole, WY.
